Recommended walks

• The park has many interesting walks. Christopher Spry has begun to make logs of those that he has done there, with 1/25,000 Landranger Ordnance Survey maps and waypoints for those with GPS devices.

    • Craig Cerrig Gleisiad National Nature Reserve, cliff and moorland walk, central Brecon Beacons.
    • Craig y Rhiwarth, geology walk near Craig-y-Nos Castle.
    • Cribarth, limestone crag walk near Craig-y-Nos Castle.
    • Fan Gyhirych, Fan Nedd & Maen Llia standing stone
    • Plas-y-Gors, upland limestone pasture walk near Ystradfellte.
    • Upper Senni Valley walk on the road round the upper part of the valley
    • Afon Mellte & Nedd Fechan walk along two rivers with waterfalls & caves, from Ystradfellte

These are available in the National Park's Visitors' Centres and in bookshops in the area.
