- Brecknock and
Radnor Community Health Council (CHC) is the health service watchdog
for the southern portion of the county of Powys, the most sparsely populated
county of Wales, with a population of 121,000, a spread of 2,000 miles, 100
miles north to south, 70 miles east to west.
- Powys Local
Health Board (LHB) provides a range of hospital, community,
mental health and learning disability services. The Local Health
Board is also responsible for commissioning secondary health care and hospital
services and co-ordinating the delivery of primary care services for the
people of Powys.
