Introduction
Senni Valley contains archaeological sites of interest dating back to the end
of the last ice age 10,000 years ago.

- Clwyd-Powys
Archaeological Trust, CPAT, helps to protect, record and interpret the
historical landscape. It has many links to other archaeological websites.
- Royal Commission
on the Ancient & Historical Monuments of Wales. COFLEIN is the online
interactive mapping and database for the National Monuments Record of Wales (NMRW).
Core Archaeological Record iNdex (CARN) is the the public entry-point to the
Extended National Database for Wales, a national information resource for
archaeology and architecture compiled by archaeological organisations across
Wales. They provide a facility to search online the
CARN and RCAHMW Databases to list
entries with their type and location.

Library of Wales is the central repository of information on Wales

County Archive, CAO, County Hall, Llandrindod Wells, Powys, LD1 5LG is the
county repository for information, duplicating much of the local information

Parish registers, including for Defynnog, the larges parish in
Brecknockshire, with information on baptisms from 1695-1939, marriages from
1695-1983 and banns from 1695-1984, on microfilms.

The Severn Estuary
Levels Research Committee reports on the archaeology and
palaeoenvironment of the Severn Estuary, which gives insight into conditions
and human activities over several thousand years in this part of Britain.
